Regional Emergency Assistance Community Taskforce

The Nation's Capital Region REACT Team (N.C.R. REACT) differs ourselves from other community emergency response teams.

Our cadre is comprised of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) professionals and public safety officials that have been focused on communications as their professional careers. N.C.R. REACT members have years of trunked radio experience and interoperablity expertise. This translates into reliable two-way communication and educated problem-solving using professional theory, commercial grade equipment and subject matter expertise second to none. Our mission is to ensure that our communities stay connected during times of crisis and emergency, when normal means of communication fail.

REACT: WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN and WHY

REACT, a name you can trust since 1962, transformed from monitoring CB channel 09 into emergency management.

Our Regional Emergency Assistance Community Taskforce is an independent non-profit coalition of local responders, volunteer radio operators, and technical specialists who work together to keep communication flowing during emergencies. We build and maintain reliable radio networks that serve as backup when conventional systems fail, ensuring towns, counties, and agencies across the region remain connected. The taskforce is activated during disasters, severe weather, or any event that disrupts normal communication channels, and we train regularly to stay prepared.
